Sacré Coeur Riedenburg has welcomed us in June for their Open Day for Expats. They’ve exclusively opened their doors for us highlighting their origins and history as well as the specifics of international school starting this autumn. Based on a bilingually taught curriculum Sacré Coeur Riedenburg aims to evolve their students into global citizens.

Furthermore, we had the opportunity to experience some of Vorarlberg’s history and enjoyed a tour through the historic building. We learned that Sacré Coeur School Riedenburg was already founded in 1854 by the Society of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, but the building itself is much older.

Highlight of the tour was the visit of monastery church which is one of the first churches in Austria built in the Neo-Gothic style. It’s dedicated to St. Magdalene in honour of the founder of the Society, Madeleine Sophie Barat.
