Sweet day out with an amazing group of expat partners 🍫✨
Last week, we visited the Fenkart Chocolate World and dove into the fascinating world of chocolate-making – from bean to bar. Along the way, we challenged our senses with taste and smell tests (not as easy as it sounds 😄) and, of course, the highlight was sampling lots (and lots!) of incredible chocolate 😍🍫.
But beyond the sweets, it was all about the people. It’s so special to see new friendships forming and sharing experiences that only expat life brings. Grateful for these moments and this wonderful community 💛

Last week, we visited the Fenkart Chocolate World and dove into the fascinating world of chocolate-making – from bean to bar. Along the way, we challenged our senses with taste and smell tests (not as easy as it sounds 😄) and, of course, the highlight was sampling lots (and lots!) of incredible chocolate 😍🍫.

At Expat V, we know that raising children across languages is both a joy 🎉 and a challenge 🤔 for expat families.
That’s why we recently offered our members something special: access to an online course on multilingual upbringing by the linguist @dr_bettina_gruber , followed by an exclusive live Q&A session 💻 – fully funded by us.
Parents could first explore the theory at their own pace 📚 and then bring their personal questions to the live session, receiving tailored guidance for their unique family situations.
A huge thank you 🙏 to Bettina Gruber for sharing her expertise so generously. You could really feel the depth of her experience, and her practical, down-to-earth advice made a real difference for every family in the session.
One participant shared:
“I walked away with a valuable new resource, the comforting knowledge that I’m far from alone in my questions and concerns, and the realization that many of the things I worry about are far less concerning than I thought.”
We also want to thank all participants 👏 for their openness and willingness to share the challenges they face every day. Your questions and experiences brought the learning to life and created meaningful impact across our community 🌍.

What better way to connect than by laughing about cultural misunderstandings we all recognise in one way or another? 😂🌍 The film gave us plenty of funny moments, but also the nice feeling that these little clashes and confusions are often exactly what make life abroad so memorable.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in Dornbirn for this relaxed and cheerful evening. 🍿💛 Nights like this remind us how easy connection can feel when people share a story, a few laughs, and some snacks.

Our first hike of the season took us to the beautiful Wasserweg in Hittisau. With gentle trails, wooden bridges, and the calming sound of flowing water, it was the perfect place to welcome spring in the mountains. 🌸💧
But what truly makes these hikes special is the community behind them. People from many different countries, backgrounds, and professions come together – some new to the area, others long-time expats – all connected by a shared love for nature and the simple joy of walking together. 🌍
Along the trail there’s time for conversations, new friendships, and simply enjoying the outdoors as a group. And of course, every good hike deserves a proper ending – gathering around a table and enjoying a meal together after a day outdoors. 🍽️
